Engagement on the Draft Plan will take place in 2024. For an event with activities for the whole family check out Still Creek Festival, which will feature the same information presented at these sessions. You can also view the information boards here.

With the support of Infrastructure Canada through the Natural Infrastructure Fund, the city will be adding and enhancing five green rainwater infrastructure (GRI) sites within the Still Creek watershed. They include Cornett Road, Charles Park, Slocan Park, Beaconsfield Park, and Falaise Park. These enhancement projects will integrate the lenses of ecology, water, and community, taking a watershed-based approach to reimagine the role of neighbourhood parks and streets in the health of Still Creek.

We plan to use wetlands, rain gardens, and rainwater tree trenches, to capture, convey, filter, and absorb polluted urban runoff using plants and soils. This will result in cleaner water entering Still Creek, while also helping to reduce localized flooding, improve local biodiversity, mitigate urban heat impacts, and improve access to nature.
