Rendering of Vancouver City Hall

简体中文 | 繁體中文

The City of Vancouver is working on a long-range plan for the future of the lands around City Hall. The plan will guide future rezonings and the redevelopment for this area, which is known as the Civic District.

The long-term vision will help the area evolve into a more welcoming, inclusive and service-oriented environment with improved community amenities for everyone.

This is part of the City's work to implement the Broadway Plan. The Broadway Plan guides growth around the Broadway subway over the next 30 years. It was approved by Council in June 2022.

Public engagement is now closed:

Between June 13 and July 14, we asked for your feedback on the draft guiding principles and three site concepts. Public engagement is now closed. An engagement summary (PDF, 15 MB) sharing what we heard is now available. This work will be included with the Broadway Plan amendments presented to Council for consideration in November (2024).

    Hello Jamie,

Thank you for the question. The intention of this board is to demonstrate how the current view cones provide constraints about where buildings can go under the view cones and how there may be flexibility in location of buildings and built form if the views were to be amended. This board is only for demonstration purposes to communicate the impacts of the view cone on the site.
