Personal preparedness in Vancouver

We want to know how Vancouver prepares for emergencies. Prepared or not prepared, we want to hear from you. Share your thoughts by completing the personal preparedness survey.
Your input will help shape future public education and emergency preparedness programs. Vancouver faces various hazards, such as earthquakes, severe weather, and windstorms. Emergency planning includes preparing for these hazards with emergency plans, knowing where to go for information, and having emergency supplies available.
We are partnering with UBC’s Disaster Resilience Research Network for this project. Your answers from the survey will be shared with UBC’s Disaster Resilience Research Network for research and analysis. Responses to this survey will be treated as anonymous. This data won’t include any of your personal information like your name or email address, even if you’ve given it to us. Read the City of Vancouver’s privacy statement.
