Public engagement from February 18 to March 9

The City is considering increasing some of the hours that bars, pubs, and nightclubs can be open for business. We are also considering updates to the hours that restaurants can serve alcohol. The aim is to support businesses, local economies, and neighbourhood vibrancy while considering public health and safety.

How to get involved

We want to hear what you think about the hours these places should be allowed to be open throughout Vancouver. You can get involved by:

Your input will be considered along with other factors such as feedback from partner agencies and local businesses, Council priorities and compliance with provincial regulations.

Next steps

Engagement will conclude on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Staff will bring forward a report with recommendations for Council’s consideration in the spring.
