Phase 4 Engagement Summary is now online

In June 2023, the City launched Phase 4 of the ʔəy̓alməxw/Iy̓álmexw/Jericho Lands planning program. Through our Shape Your City project web page and a number of public events co-hosted with the site’s landowners – the MST Partnership and Canada Lands Company – we gathered feedback on the landowners’ Revised Site Concept. This concept included details on proposed land use, housing, density and building heights, parks and open space, transportation and public amenities.

The feedback we received is helping to shape the draft Policy Statement.

Next steps

We are now developing the draft Policy Statement in consultation with the landowners. Along with the public feedback, the Policy Statement will also be informed by input from the MST Nations and other stakeholders.

The draft Policy Statement will be posted to our project web page in early December 2023. You will be able to ask questions and make comments through the site. The draft Policy Statement will then be presented to City Council for consideration in January 2024, where you will have the opportunity to provide input by speaking to Council and/or submitting written correspondence.
