Review Jericho Lands Draft ODP

Following Vancouver City Council approval of the ʔəy̓alməxʷ/Iy̓álmexw/Jericho Lands Policy Statement in January 2024, the ʔəy̓alməxʷ/Iy̓álmexw/Jericho Lands Official Development Plan (ODP) is the next step in implementing the project prior to the rezoning application for the first phase of development for the site. Between February 6 and February 20, we are hosting a virtual information session so members of the public can review the draft ODP and ask questions of City staff prior to its consideration by Council.

The intent of the ODP is to translate the Policy Statement into a by-law format. It will provide greater direction and certainty on a variety of obligations such as affordable housing and public amenities. It will also translate key elements related to permitted floor areas, land uses, and development phasing.

The ODP is not a City planning requirement for the ʔəy̓alməxʷ/Iy̓álmexw/Jericho Lands but is instead being prepared at the request of MST Partnership to provide more certainty. The ODP will support MST Partnership in securing financing from lenders to allow project implementation to progress. It is expected that City Council will consider the ODP at a public hearing in April 2025.
