The Director of Planning approved the application on November 26, 2021, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


New Commons Development has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop this site, consisting of:

  • A 17-storey, mixed-use building with 154 social housing units
  • A Social Service Centre and Retail
  • An approximate floor area of 11,434 m² (123,071 sq. ft.)
  • An approximate height of 52.3 m (172.0 ft.)

The rezoning application was approved by City Council at a Public Hearing on July 6, 2021. Among the conditions of Council’s approval, the applicant must obtain approval of a development permit.
