Cadillac Fairview has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop the following on this site:

  • A major renovation of the existing 29-storey hotel building
  • A maximum building height of 95 m (311.6 ft.) from grade
  • A total floor area of 36,190 m² (389,531 sq. ft.)
  • Two levels of underground parking with 2,152 vehicle parking spaces accessed from Howe Street

Under the site’s existing CD-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Development Permit Board.

In response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we held an extended online question and answer (Q&A) period in place of an in-person open house for this project.

    How many rooms will the hotel have? Is this more, less or the same as the old hotel?

    Thank you for your question.  The former Four Seasons Hotel had approximately 414 rooms.  The new hotel will have 259 rooms so a reduction of 155 rooms according to the traffic analysis reporting for "trip generation" by Bunt and Associates.
