Strand Development has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop a five-storey apartment building at Granville Street and three-storey townhouses at the rear of the site with indoor and outdoor amenity space at the roof of the front building, consisting of:
A total of 95 Secured Market Rental units
A proposed FSR of 2.2 (59,358 sq.ft.)
A proposed height of 17.37 meters (56.99 ft.) for front building, and 11.12 m (36.48 ft). for rear townhouses
One level of underground parking, providing 43 parking spaces having vehicular access from the lane
The rezoning application was approved by City Council, following Public Hearing of October 22, 2024. Among the conditions of Council’s approval, the applicant must obtain approval of a development permit. Under the site’s proposed CD-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
