3158 E 54th Ave (DP-2022-00020) cannabis retail development application

An appeal was heard by the Board of Variance on May 17, 2022 and was ALLOWED, thereby overturning the decision of the Director of Planning.  A Development Permit was issued on June 21, 2022.


Burb Cannabis Corp. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform interior alterations, consolidate units 3158 and 3168 and change of use from School of Self Improvement to Retail Cannabis Store in this existing mixed-use building on this site, including:

  • A floor area of approximately 968 sq. ft.
  • Operating hours of:
    • Monday – Saturday: 9am – 11pm
    • Sunday: 10am – 8pm

Under the site’s existing CD-1(68) zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
