The Director of Planning approved the application on February 17, 2022, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


Francl Architecture Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop a 69-space Childcare Centre and park washroom facility, at the above-noted address, consisting of:

  • Proposed one-storey building
  • Proposed building height of approximately 17.7 ft.
  • Proposed floor area of approximately 11,571.0 sq. ft.
  • Provision of 11-parking spaces accessed from East Kent Avenue South

Under the site’s existing CD-1 (247) zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
