The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on September 6, 2022.


Gradual Architecture has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop the following on this site:

  • To alter and convert this existing one-family dwelling to a Multiple Conversion Dwelling containing two dwelling units (Building 1) including:
    • A total height of approximately 28 ft.
    • A total Floor Space Ratio of 0.6 (approximately 2,420 sq. ft.)
  • To develop an infill one-family dwelling (Building 2) in the rear portion of this site including:
    • A total height of approximately 25 ft.
    • A total Floor Space Ratio of 0.25 (approximately 980 sq. ft.)
  • Three parking spaces provided having vehicular access from the lane

Under the site’s existing RS-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
