Thank you for your question. The Grandview-Woodland Community Plan states that “where tenants will be displaced as a result of redevelopment, a tenant relocation plan as outlined in the City’s Tenant Relocation and Protection Policy will be required”. These policies are intended to protect tenants by mitigating the impacts of displacement resulting from redevelopment activity. Compensation and support for eligible tenants includes financial compensation based on length of tenancy, arrangements for moving expenses (or flat rate payout), as well as assistance in finding new accommodations.

Thank you for your question. Rezoning applications are subject to review including the form of development based on the design guidance of the Grandview‑Woodland Community Plan. The review also considers pubic feedback. Conditions of approval, including related to the design, are typically included in the referral report to Council for consideration at a Public Hearing. Should a rezoning application be approved, further review and refinement occurs at future permitting stages. Your comments will be considered in our review.
