1235 Nanaimo St (DP-2021-01029) development application

The Director of Planning approved the application on June 30, 2022, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


Vanwell Homes Ltd. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to add another level to the previously approved two-storey mixed-use building with general office on the ground floor and two dwelling units on the upper floor, consisting of:

  • Total height of approximately 9.64 m (31.63 ft.)
  • Total Floor Space Ratio of 1.19 (approximately 4,343.00 sq. ft.)
  • Three parking spaces with access from the lane

Under the site’s existing C-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
