1050 Kingsway (DP-2022-00387) development application

The Director of Planning has requested you be advised that this development application was withdrawn by the applicant on August 30, 2022.


Matthew Cheng Architecture Inc. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop a six-storey, mixed-use building, consisting of:

  • Retail and Restaurant uses at grade
  • 71 secured market rental units from the second to sixth storeys
  • An accessible roof-deck
  • A proposed floor area of 63,272 sq.ft. (5,878 m2)
  • A proposed height of 69 ft. (21.1 m)
  • Two levels of underground parking, having vehicular access from the lane

Under the site’s existing C-2 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
