1001 Kingsway rezoning application

On hold pending further design revisions per the applicant’s request.

We would like your feedback on a rezoning application at 1001 Kingsway. The proposal is to allow for the development of a 12-storey mixed-use building. The zoning would change from C-2 (Commercial) to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District. This proposal includes:

  • 88 social housing units
  • Commercial uses at grade
  • A floor space ratio (FSR) of 5.78
  • A floor area of 7,854 sq. m (84,539 sq. ft.)
  • A building height of 41.5 m (136.2 ft.)
  • 44 vehicle parking spaces and 170 bicycle parking spaces

The application is being considered under the Kensington-Cedar Cottage Community Vision.

A community open house was held on September 30, 2019 from 4:30-7:30 pm at the Church of Nazarene (998 E 19th Ave).
