Introduction

The Draft Rupert and Renfrew Station Area Plan is a strategic, forward-thinking vision for how the neighbourhood will grow and change over the next 30 years.

The Draft Plan delivers a proposed land use plan and policies related to housing, shops and services, public space, and other topics. It outlines directions for future growth around Rupert and Renfrew Skytrain stations, and in three neighbourhood Villages (Renfrew St and 1st Ave, and 22nd Avenue between Rupert St. And Renfrew St.). Policies focus on preserving existing Employment Lands, protecting, and enhancing Still Creek.

The Draft Rupert and Renfrew Station Area Plan, based on the broader Vancouver Plan, aims to deliver affordable housing and complete neighbourhoods, an economy that works for all, climate protection and restored ecosystems. The Draft Plan balances city priorities, community input, and challenging area conditions.

Share your thoughts on the Draft Plan and its proposed directions for:

  • Station Areas: Within a 10-minute walk of Rupert and Renfrew Skytrain stations, outside of the Employment Lands.
  • Employment Lands: The Grandview Boundary Employment Area next to the SkyTrain stations.
  • Still Creek: Expansion and enhancements to the creek corridor and daylighting the creek.
  • Villages:  These are the three smaller shopping ‘nodes’ (and surrounding residential areas) located at Renfrew St and 1st Ave, Rupert St. and 22nd Ave, and Renfrew St. and 22nd Ave.
  • Missing Middle including Multiplex Areas: Areas outside the Station Areas, the Villages, and the Employment Lands.
