The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on February 16, 2024.

Peter Rose Architecture has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop on this site:

  • Two-storey plus basement one-family dwelling with a secondary suite located in the basement
  • A detached three-car garage and one open surface parking space at the rear
  • Providing four parking spaces, having vehicular access from the lane

Under the site’s existing RS-5 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.

Review of design guidelines applicable to one and two family dwellings in this district has been streamlined, as per the Council report of June 8, 2021, as a temporary measure for one year. On June 7, 2022, Council extended the streamlined review process for an additional two years.
