The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on September 27, 2024.


Southlands Farm has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop a two-and-half-storey, single detached house with a caretaker dwelling unit and an attached garage, at this site, consisting of:

  • A total height of approximately 35 ft.
  • A total Floor Space Ratio of 0.1 (approximately 6,300 sq. ft.)
  • Three parking spaces, having vehicular access from West 51st Avenue

Under the site’s existing RA-1 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
