The Director of Planning approved the application on March 16, 2022, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


Architrix Design Studio has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to retain the existing character one-family dwelling (Building 1) and, develop a new infill one-family dwelling (Building 2) at the rear of the site, including:

  • A total height of approximately 25 ft.
  • A FSR of 0.25 (approximately 1,630 sq. ft.)
  • Two parking spaces having vehicular access from the lane

Under the site’s existing RS-5 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.

Review of design guidelines applicable to one and two family dwellings in this district has been streamlined as per the Council report of June 8, 2021. This is a temporary measure for one year.
