2140 Kingsway (DP-2020-00927) cannabis retail development application

An appeal was heard by the Board of Variance on May 4, 2021 and was ALLOWED, thereby overturning the decision of the Director of Planning.  A Development Permit was issued on May 12, 2021.


Kingsway Cannabis has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform interior alterations and to change the use from General Office to Cannabis Retail on this site consisting of:

  • A proposed floor area of approximately 1,236 sq. ft.
  • Hours of operation from 9am to 11pm, 7 days a week

Under the site’s existing C-2 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it maybe permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
