2140 Kingsway (DP-2020-00927) cannabis retail development application

The Director of Planning has requested you be advised that this application was considered on March 18, 2021, and was refused. It should be noted, however, that the applicant has the right to appeal this decision of refusal to the Board of Variance in accordance with the provisions of the Vancouver Charter.


Kingsway Cannabis has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to perform interior alterations and to change the use from General Office to Cannabis Retail on this site consisting of:

  • A proposed floor area of approximately 1,236 sq. ft.
  • Hours of operation from 9am to 11pm, 7 days a week

Under the site’s existing C-2 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it maybe permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
