The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on September 6, 2022.


Yamamoto Architecture has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop three multiple dwelling townhouse buildings on this site, including:

  • A site total of 16 market dwelling units
  • Approximate total site Floor Space Ratio of 1.19 FSR (1,717 m²/ 18,487 sq. ft.)
  • Approximate maximum height of 12.66 m (41.53 ft.) facing West King Edward Avenue; and 11.53 m (37.84 ft.) facing Columbia Street
  • Over one level of underground-parking (approximately 22 stalls) having vehicular access from the rear north lane

Under the site’s existing RM-8AN zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
