The Development Permit Board approved the application on April 4, 2022, subject to conditions.  A Development Permit may be issued once all conditions have been satisfied. For more information, please see the Prior-to letter under "Application documents"


False Creek Yacht Club has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop the following on this site:

  • The removal and replacement of existing docks and fingers with environmentally friendly options
  • Placement of seven fingers for moorage within the existing water lot
  • Expansion of existing washroom facilities (no service capacity changes)
  • Removal of 24 timber piles and 6 steel piles and installation of 31 16” diameter steels piles

Under the site’s existing BC Place/Expo District (BCPED) zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Development Permit Board.
