The Director of Planning approved this application, and a Development Permit was issued on April 5, 2022.


Vancouver School Board has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop the following on this site:

  • A new three-storey elementary school, with:
    • A 404 student capacity and 38 staff
    • A 69 space childcare on the top level
    • An approximate height of 12.7 m (41.6 ft.)
    • 31 parking stalls and loading at grade, accessed from York St

Under the site’s existing RM-4 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted. However, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning.
