City of Vancouver 2026 Budget
Each year, City staff create an annual budget for City Council to consider. The budget outlines City spending across key service areas such as public safety, transportation, infrastructure, parks and recreation and more. Provincial law requires the City not to spend more money than it brings in each year.
We want to know your priorities for City spending. We also want your preferences for how to balance the budget while maintaining core services and programs.
Public input
Between August 12 and September 14, 2025, staff shared information and gathered public input about the City's 2026 budget. This took place through an online survey and pop-ups at locations across the City.
Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts on the 2026 Budget.
